This week we’re celebrating a major milestone with our 400th episode and putting our horror knowledge to the test in Hack or Slash Jeopardy. We battle it out across three escalating rounds of trivia, reflect on the highs and horrors of our podcast journey, and reveal which host reigns supreme in horror movie recall.

SPEAKER_06Welcome, welcome, welcome, everybody. Welcome to Hackerslash Jeopardy. Now, before we get started, I just want to say thank you. Thanks for being here. Thanks for showing up to my lovely contestants tonight. I hope you are ready for some chaos.
SPEAKER_12We'll see. We'll see.
SPEAKER_06Listen, now for a more sentimental moment, listen, Hackerslash started as a side conversation at a sushi spot about horror movies. And somehow, somehow, we're now 400 episodes in, which is absolutely insane. We were surrounded by an incredible community. We've got a ton of memories, even more horror opinions than we've ever bargained for. And honestly, through it all, we've learned how to coexist, right? Even with Sean's unwavering devotion to Skinamarink or the recent discovery of Vinx's love for the nightmare on Elm Street remake.
SPEAKER_02Of course.
SPEAKER_06No. And no one should. No, absolutely not. Now, let's actually get the show on the road by diving headfirst into uh some survival rules and let's talk about how we're gonna actually survive the night. I want you to think about this as your rule book for staying alive, or at least scoring some points before it's too late. So when it comes down to Hackerslash Jeopardy, it is not unlike Jeopardy, but we are gonna have a couple more rounds. So we're gonna have Jeopardy, Double Jeopardy, Triple Jeopardy, and Final Jeopardy. Now the kicker here about that first Jeopardy round is that each contestant is gonna have a category devoted to them and their history and their life. But they can't pick a question from it. If their co-hosts and their contestants fail to get the answer correctly, then that original contestant who is the category, uh, they will automatically get those points. It's gonna be very exciting. Now, when it comes to answering the cues, hey, just like Jeopardy, you're gonna take turns. So we'll start with Max since he's been on the show the longest. You're gonna buzz in once the clue has been read, and you must respond in the form of a question. Again, just like Jeopardy. Uh, what is, who is, where is, how is, etc. If you get the answer correct, great, you earn some points. If you get the answer wrong, as it turns out, you're gonna lose points. Kind of how that works. Our daily doubles have been rebranded to the double trouble. Hidden somewhere on the board is an opportunity for you to uncover a chance to make some bets and earn some additional points. Now, big or you know, go big or go home. If you get the question correct, you're gonna get that full wager value. If you get the question wrong, you lose those points. So here we are. When it comes down to final Jeopardy, you're gonna have a moment to submit a wager. Do you want to bet at all? Do you want to bet nothing by the time we get to the final Jeopardy round? Once that clue is revealed, you're gonna have 30 seconds to write your response. And again, if you get it correct, you win everything, and if you get it wrong, you lose everything you bet. Now, some house rules and some deviations for the Jeopardy game. If you fail to answer the question with a proper phrasing, i.e., where is, how is, who is, etc., there's going to be a negative five-point pen penalty. Uh for our friends in the chat. Hello, I see that we already have some things coming in. Um says you can't hear, but I'm screaming like it's a MyCam concert trust. Love that. Great energy there. Uh listen, we want your participation, so please keep that chat blowing up all night long. However, try not to spoil the answer unless someone has already answered it. Please. Now, Jeopardy might be a little bit perilous. It's gonna be a little bit dangerous, it's gonna be a little bit tough. So our hosts have the opportunity to earn some post personality points. If they buzz in and they don't know the correct answer, and they're at least a little funny, then we have a special demonic darling on our staff named Chell, who will be assessing some pity points as we go. Now, that's it for our house rules. But the question remains are my friends ready to get started? Are we ready for Jeopardy?
SPEAKER_04Absolutely.
SPEAKER_12Is anyone really ready?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I just let's go.
SPEAKER_06I hope you've been studying. Listen, folks, if you were there in the chat and you're one of our patrons, you had the opportunity to participate in the Jeopardy prep chat where Chal has been leading the patrons in some in some prep, and I think Sean Binks it might have scared you a little bit.
SPEAKER_12Scared. Yeah, I mean, I don't yeah, I don't know if it helped or just made me realize that there's way too much fucking content to try to remember from this show or in horror as a genre as a whole. You know, it's gonna be tough. Yeah, depends how deep these questions get.
SPEAKER_08I feel like I'm being hazed two years later.
SPEAKER_09This is the initiation.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, you're finally being initiated two years later, but let's also keep in mind that for Mac and Paris, that's a lot of years to look back on and really soak in in terms of points.
SPEAKER_04So we should actually be greater on a curve. You're right, Chris. I completely agree.
SPEAKER_06Well, again, that's why we have the personality pity points. Let's get a look at our categories for tonight. Now we're gonna start off with our categories of Superfly Space Guy, the Paranormal Paramour, the classic horror connoisseur, the scream queen. I want you to know this category was originally entitled Dumb Bitchery. And then finally, Podcast Chronicles. And as our first player for the night, Mac, we're gonna take it to you. Pick your category and your points.
SPEAKER_11I would like paranormal paramour for 150 points.
SPEAKER_06150 points of the paranormal paramour. Behold Saint Binks, the patron saint of blank. Buzzing with your correct answers, Paris.
SPEAKER_04What is bullshit?
SPEAKER_06That is incorrect. That is incorrect. We'll give our patrons an opportunity the rest of our contestants an opportunity to steal. All right, no steals. Back.
SPEAKER_11The patron saint of Winnie the Pooh.
SPEAKER_06Um, okay, that is actually incorrect. As it turns out, Saint Binx is the patron saint of organizing, as is accounted for in our Discord. Uh, but that is 150 points to Paranormal Paramour Binx and personality points if Chow chooses to uh either of our other competitors. Uh let's go with Mac, you'll pick again.
SPEAKER_11Okay, let's choose Classic Horror Connoisseur for 100.
SPEAKER_06Classic Horror Connoisseur for 100. Oh, and you've got our first double trouble. Chao was dressed as this universal monster when an old woman once told him he didn't deserve to win a costume contest. As you don't have any points to bet. We're just gonna give this double value. Mac, you are the only contestant who can answer right now.
SPEAKER_11Who is Frankenstein?
SPEAKER_06Oh, I'm so sorry. That is incorrect. The correct answer that we were looking for was Wolfman.
SPEAKER_04That would have been my guess, actually.
SPEAKER_06Sean, what a story that was. Do you want to briefly recap that?
SPEAKER_12Uh yeah, it was it was quite the night. One, we spent hours putting this costume together. Like I literally felt like I was probably on set for one of these movies because it took a long time to put the makeup on and everything. And then we get to this bar, we're downtown, we're having a good time, we go in the costume contest, we don't know what's gonna happen. We end up winning, and after we win, this old lady like waves me over to her table, and she like gets really like close and intimate, and she's like, just so you know, you didn't deserve to win. My like, I don't know, like nephew or some bullshit deserved to win. And I'm like, what the fuck? It's like the audacity some people have.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, you know. I do remember that you shared this, and I don't remember if it was on the Wolfman episode, but you did share this in our B side. So if you're a patron, you may have already heard this story. But uh, you know what, Sean? We'll go back to you. Sean, let's have you pick the next category.
SPEAKER_12Ooh. Um, let's try Superfly Space Guy for 100.
SPEAKER_06Superfly Space Guy for 100. Mac may have a peachy disposition, but he's definitely not a native of this state, contrary to popular belief. We'll go Paris.
SPEAKER_04Where is Georgia?
SPEAKER_06That is correct. That's 100 points for Paris.
SPEAKER_10Nice.
SPEAKER_06Okay, yay! As the winner, you get to pick the next category.
SPEAKER_04I'm gonna take Podcast Chronicles for 100, Chris.
SPEAKER_06Podcast Chronicles for 100. If Hackerslash had a Western spin-off, it would famously be called this. Paris, go ahead.
SPEAKER_04What is dust or bust?
SPEAKER_06That is incorrect, although honestly iconic. Our contestants have an opportunity to steal.
SPEAKER_12Oh my god.
SPEAKER_06I you know what? Fuck it. Okay, Binx.
SPEAKER_08I it's not gonna be right, but hear me out. I think it should be clown in a corn hub.
SPEAKER_06Oh, okay. Um, you know what? Hey, we'll see what the uh pity points get you. But the correct answer is yeehaw or naw.
SPEAKER_12Oh my god.
SPEAKER_04Oh, that's good too.
SPEAKER_06Or nah.
SPEAKER_12When I keep thinking stroke and poke, but that was definitely a whole different fucking episode.
SPEAKER_06Definitely a different episode, John. Definitely a different episode. Uh Paris, let's go back to you. You'll pick your next category.
SPEAKER_04I need a win here, Chris. Let's go podcast Chronicles for 50.
SPEAKER_06Podcast Chronicles for 50. This Stephen King adaptation was the first film ever reviewed on Hacker Slash. Matt, uh, sorry, Paris. You were first.
SPEAKER_03What is it? That is correct. Well done. Oh my god, I knew that. Okay, great. Incredible. Well done.
SPEAKER_04I'm liking this category. Let's do podcast chronicles for 150, please.
SPEAKER_06Podcast Chronicles for 150 coming up. The Hacker Slash Discord launched publicly in this month and year. You should remember because you were there. No buses, no buzzes. Mac.
SPEAKER_11What is August of 2020?
SPEAKER_06That is incorrect.
SPEAKER_08Binks. I'm gonna say April of 2021.
SPEAKER_06That is also incorrect. The correct answer that we're looking for is March 2022. If you remember, we actually had a beta period for our Discord where it was patron only for a hot minute. And these answers can be found in the chronology and the history of Hackerslash that Nathan built in our Google Drive. Uh, you know what, Paris? We'll go back to you. You can pick the next category.
SPEAKER_04Let's keep it going. Podcast Chronicles for 200, please.
SPEAKER_06B-sides were introduced in this episode. Also ironic because B sides were your idea. Was it not your idea? Oh. It was not my idea. It was Paris' idea. I know. Is this still like a warm-up round?
SPEAKER_12Because holy shit.
SPEAKER_06Okay, Mac, you buzzed in first.
SPEAKER_11I I don't think I meant to buzz in on this one.
SPEAKER_06So You cleared the buzzers.
SPEAKER_11What is the idea? How about that?
SPEAKER_06We have cleared the buzzers. You have an opportunity to buzz anyone, folks. You have 10 seconds remaining. Okay. The correct answer was episode 132, December 2020. The episode was P2. You remember the movie with the bucks and businesswoman. It's stuck in the parking garage, poor girl. On Christmas, no less. Famously.
SPEAKER_03All right, Ferris, back to you. Pick the category. Do I dare? Podcast Chronicles 250. Here we go.
SPEAKER_06The ultimate goal of the show is this. Sean.
SPEAKER_12What is to foster an environment where everyone feels welcome to share stuff about horror and love each other? Something like that.
SPEAKER_06Okay, that honestly that was very, very close. I may give you to you, let's see if Paris has the correct answer.
SPEAKER_12Let's give me like one bonus point, you know?
SPEAKER_04To spread the gospel that horror is for everyone.
SPEAKER_06Also, fair. Chell, I'll leave that to your discretion. Uh Sean, I'll give you a correct answer on technicality because you got the first three words right. The ultimate goal of the show is to foster an environment in which conversations about horror movies serve as catalysts for enriching connections between people, as is written on our Notion database. All right, Sean, you're gonna go.
SPEAKER_04That's what we both said.
SPEAKER_12Together we made that answer somehow. Uh let's do uh let's do Scream Queen for 150.
SPEAKER_06Scream Queen for 150. The log from Final Destination 2 famously got more work in the wrong turn reboot, but Paris put in the real work to get this star of the film on the show for Pride. Parrish, you cannot answer this question since it's your category. We'll go with the next part.
SPEAKER_04Oh, that's I thought I just couldn't pick it up. Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_06No, you automatically get the point if no one else gets it.
SPEAKER_12Okay, great. I totally don't remember the answer or the name of this person, but I remember this episode.
SPEAKER_11Mac gonna butcher it, but I know there's a V in there. Who is Vardan?
SPEAKER_06Mm-hmm. That is correct. It was Vardon Aurora. An incredible conversation that we had uh discussing camp in horror and the representation of camp in horror. I absolutely love that. Scream Queen for 150, yes. Yes, it was. Okay. Mac, you had the correct answer. Let's have you pick the next category.
SPEAKER_11Okay, let's go with Classic Horror Connoisseur for 200, please.
SPEAKER_06Classic horror connoisseur for 200. Sean once shared he skateboarded up and down this iconic California attraction in his youth. And for those in the chat who think the questions are hard, don't worry. It's gonna get very easy. Don't worry, it gets harder. If we don't know each other, Mac, you buzzed in first.
SPEAKER_11I I truly don't know the answer to this. Let's say he skateboarded up and down. Um what is the PCH?
SPEAKER_06The PC, what is the PCH? I don't know what that is, but if it's no, it doesn't matter. It's like Coast Highway. Nope, nope, not that. Not that you'll have an opportunity to steal for Paris or Binx. Paris.
SPEAKER_04What is the Golden Gate Bridge?
SPEAKER_06Incorrect. Binx, your final opportunity?
SPEAKER_08Okay, y'all. Wait, can we swear? If he was skateboarding up and down the Pacific Coast Highway, I think I'd be very concerned. Also, Golden Gate Bridge is like nowhere near LA. However, I say all this to say that I'm not too sure, but I'm going to say what is a boardwalk that's popular in LA, Venice Beach, something like that or other.
SPEAKER_04The Santa Monica Pier.
unknownDamn.
SPEAKER_06That would be incorrect. So we're gonna we're gonna give those points to Sean. And the answer was the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
unknownWhat?
SPEAKER_06Oh but you crashed into people? I don't remember that. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. That was classic for. Was that 200 or 150?
SPEAKER_12Skateboarded up and down there to school.
SPEAKER_08Alright. It was two. I just pictured you crashing into people and I thought maybe that couldn't be it. I should have channeled. Yeah, it's like Times Square.
SPEAKER_06Alright, Sean, you're next. Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_12Uh let's do Superfly Space Guy for 50. Let's be modest here.
SPEAKER_06Alright, Superfly Space Guy for 50. The review of this 2019 creature feature marked the debut of the Superfly Space Guy. Binks.
SPEAKER_12Oh.
SPEAKER_06What is crawl? That is correct.
SPEAKER_04Well done. Oh my god, that was gonna be my guess too. I was just gonna say the alligator movie because I couldn't remember the name.
SPEAKER_06That would have gotten you points. Binks, you pick.
SPEAKER_08Oh fuck. Okay. Um now I'm petrified. What is oh, I can't do myself, although I probably would get it wrong. What is Scream Queen for 50?
SPEAKER_06Scream Queen for 50. This is Katie Holmes marked the debut of Paris on Hackerslash. You all should be sensing a theme here with the 50 point questions. Paris, you cannot answer.
SPEAKER_04Oh, goddammit.
SPEAKER_06Next buzzer. Alright. If nobody knows, that's gonna be it. The correct answer is what is Brawls the Boys to. Alright.
SPEAKER_04Oh man. Terrible movie. Yeah. It's dog shit. Don't it ruins everything the first one did. And for some reason Katie Holmes is in it.
SPEAKER_06Mm-hmm. Now, Binks, I'm gonna let you pick the next category again. Christ.
SPEAKER_08Finish my pearls. Okay. Um, I'm gonna do a super fly space guy for 100.
SPEAKER_06Here we go. Mac may have a nope, nope, sorry, we did that one already. You want to do 150? Sure. As it turns out, Mac is actually from this date, though he despises the iconocorror location nearby.
SPEAKER_08Oh my god.
SPEAKER_03Paris. I don't think this is right, but what is Maine? Incorrect.
unknownOh damn it.
SPEAKER_11What?
SPEAKER_06He's lived like everywhere. Fuck. Yeah, that's the funny part.
SPEAKER_12He has lived everywhere.
SPEAKER_06Alright, you're gonna have about ten seconds. All right. The correct answer is New York. Remember, he hates Air. Really? Yeah. That's right.
SPEAKER_12Oh, that's right.
SPEAKER_06I almost said New Jersey. But hey, at least Mac gets 150 removed from his ledger. Uh okay, let's Binks. Go for it again. You're gonna pick.
SPEAKER_08Oh, this is like exposure therapy. Okay.
SPEAKER_12Um exposure therapy.
SPEAKER_08I'll do classic horror connoisseur for 50.
SPEAKER_06For 50. This Rob Zombie film was reviewed in Sean's debut episode. Binks.
SPEAKER_08What is the monsters?
SPEAKER_06Thank god you got that correct. I was nervous. Love that.
SPEAKER_08I'm gonna throw up any moment now.
SPEAKER_06Incredible. Next choice.
SPEAKER_08Oh, because I have to do it again, don't I? Yep, you sure do.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, that's okay. Just wet the whistle.
SPEAKER_08All right. Wet in the whistle. Yep. That's one would expect. Um, I'm going to do Scream Queen for 100. Podcast Chronicles being out already is diabolical. But okay.
SPEAKER_06All right, Scream Queen for 100. Paris was a happy camper when she broke out a musical number to score this 80s slasher. Paris, again, you cannot answer. But I know these wives. Max.
SPEAKER_11What is slepaway camp?
SPEAKER_06That is incorrect.
SPEAKER_11Oh no.
SPEAKER_06Binks.
SPEAKER_08Next option. What is slumber party massacre?
SPEAKER_06That is also incorrect.
SPEAKER_12Damn.
SPEAKER_06Sean, you have one last opportunity to steal.
SPEAKER_12Uh man.
SPEAKER_06That's okay.
unknownAll right.
SPEAKER_06The correct one.
SPEAKER_12I mean, what is Friday the 13th?
SPEAKER_06No, I'm not going to force you because you didn't buzz for that one. So I'm not going to force you to lose points. Uh, the correct answer is what is sleepaway camp two unhappy campaigns.
SPEAKER_12Oh, the technicality. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Listen, for sure, if you had just gotten sleepaway camp 2, you would have gotten the points, Max. So sorry.
SPEAKER_04I'm one of five people that likes that movie famously.
SPEAKER_06I don't think there's even five. Binks, we'll have to pick a dance. Okay.
SPEAKER_08Okay. Um, I'll do Scream Queen for 200.
SPEAKER_06Scream Queen for 200. This actress had a role in Halloween 1978 as a child and returned 40 years later to reprise it. But Paris knows her instead as a real housewife.
SPEAKER_12What the hell? No way.
SPEAKER_06Okay. If there are no guesses, the correct answer and what's going to add points to Paris' ledger. Kyle Richards. Kyle Richards.
SPEAKER_04I'm disappointed in all of you. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_06Alright, next up, Binks. One of these days you're gonna pick a category you can win.
SPEAKER_08Okay, first of all, I've been getting points. I've been getting the 50, the 50 points, by the way. I don't know what this number down here is, but I need to be seeing it grow. Okay. Second of all, I will go for. Damn, I really can't choose myself. Okay. Superfly Space Guy 200. Fuck it.
SPEAKER_06Okay.
SPEAKER_08We ball.
SPEAKER_06While a man of many talents, Mac has a penchant for chiming in with unexpected trivia from this subject, Paris.
SPEAKER_04What is Star Trek?
SPEAKER_06That is correct. Well done.
SPEAKER_04Oh my god, yes.
SPEAKER_05I was afraid it was Battlestar Galactica. That should have been like the 50.
SPEAKER_06That should have been like on point. Yeah, well, you know. Hey. Paris, you can pick.
SPEAKER_04Let's do paranormal paramour for 50, please, Chris.
SPEAKER_06She may be the paranormal paramour, but Binx marked her official hackerslash debut in this episode. Sean.
SPEAKER_12What is terrifier?
SPEAKER_06That is correct. It was a rewind for terrifier.
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_06Acceptable answer would have all seen the show. Yeah, no, that's great. You all really know when to show up. Uh let's, Sean, you'll pick the next category.
SPEAKER_02It's crazy.
SPEAKER_12Uh, let's let's do paranormal paramore for 200.
SPEAKER_06Here we go. Jack Black became Jack Hack when Binx renounced his appearance as a pool cleaner in this slasher sequel. Sean.
SPEAKER_12What is what is I still know what you did last summer?
SPEAKER_05That is correct.
SPEAKER_06That was so good.
SPEAKER_12Wait.
SPEAKER_06Sean, you'll uh you'll pick the next one.
SPEAKER_12Uh let's do Superfly Space Guy for 250.
SPEAKER_06Despite being despite Mac being averse to exorcisms, this actress has always had a place in his heart. Paris.
SPEAKER_04Who is Linda Blair for some reason?
SPEAKER_05Incredible, yes. That is correct. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_11Good job.
SPEAKER_04Uh Linda Mac. Why do you love Linda Blair? Is she hot?
SPEAKER_11I don't think she's hot because you've not watched The Exorcist. She's adorable. Really good in that movie. You know?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, she's like a throwing home. I actually have never seen that.
SPEAKER_06The Exorcist is is a really sus choice to make there. Okay, the reason why Linda Blair came up on the podcast was actually before we did The Exorcist, and it was because we did Hell Knight, in which she is a sorority girl on a Hell Knight, a rushing college thing. Yeah. Paris.
SPEAKER_11I mean that movie.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. She she sure did. She sure did. Paris, you're next. You're gonna pick the next category.
SPEAKER_04All right, let's do paranormal paramore for 250.
SPEAKER_06Despite loathing the Friday the 13th films, Binks did slash this 1986 entry. Mac.
SPEAKER_11What is Friday the 13th part three?
SPEAKER_06That is incorrect.
SPEAKER_04Oh what is Friday the 13th? Jason takes Manhattan.
SPEAKER_06That is incorrect.
SPEAKER_12Uh try it. What is Friday the 13th, part four?
SPEAKER_06That is incorrect. The correct answer is Friday the 13th, part six, Jason. We got there. We got there. Almost damn. If you just kept going up sequentially, but not so far as Manhattan.
SPEAKER_02Eventually, eventually.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Yeah. Binks, I'm gonna have you pick since the last quarter category was about you, and you did get 250 points to your name since your co-host can't remember which Friday the 13th movie you like.
SPEAKER_08That's okay. There were a lot of options, and honestly, uh only like two choices. Um I'm going to do classic horror connoisseur 150.
SPEAKER_06All right. Classic horror connoisseur. We're gonna clear the buzzers. He may be the classic horror connoisseur, but Sean regrets his performance. Up uh, we already did that one. You're gonna be going on to the 250. The review of this 2019 creature feature. Nope. Got that one wrong too. You're gonna get 250 points, Binx. Lucky guess for finding the one technical fellow in this presentation.
SPEAKER_08Oh snap. That's really my secret. Wow classic Virgo.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, absolutely. Binx, you want to clear us out with Scream Queen for 250? Yes. At the end of it all, you'll be able to purchase her best-selling autobiography, Musings of a Blind. Mac.
SPEAKER_11Um, who what is Jeff Goldblum in the fly?
SPEAKER_05No, it's not that.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_11I wanted to say it at least once, I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_08Binx. No, because I'm I was just gonna circle circle it all the way back, you know, like a full-blown like callback to the beginning of this so far, which was musings of a dumb bitch.
SPEAKER_02But yeah, that is correct. Whoa, no way. Wait, are you crazy?
SPEAKER_06That's no way. Technically, it's of a stupid bitch, but dumb bitch is also acceptable.
SPEAKER_04We'll totally take dumb bitch.
SPEAKER_06Wow, look at that, folks. We did it. We cleared the board for our first round of hackerslash jeopardy. Not so bad, right? You feeling okay? You survived.
SPEAKER_04This was excruciating.
SPEAKER_06I really was. Sweating.
SPEAKER_04My thighs are stuck to this chair.
SPEAKER_12Like, this is bad. Wait till we get to the movies.
SPEAKER_06Oh, yeah. Listen, I forgot that we'll be back.
SPEAKER_08I forgot that's where we were going.
SPEAKER_06Brace yourselves, folks. If you are there in the audience, grab a drink, settle in. We'll be right back after a word from our sponsors.

SPEAKER_04Yeah, we're I'm having a great time.
SPEAKER_06Absolutely. Absolutely. Uh, I really want to shout out to uh a few folks in the chat. We've had some really good conversation, one of which we have to address right now. Paris, we got a call out here. Did I just hear Paris has never seen The Exorcist?
SPEAKER_04Yes, that is correct. I have never seen The Exorcist, but I I have seen the poltergeist, which is the one with the small woman in the voice.
SPEAKER_06Yes, that is and it's like Carol Ann.
SPEAKER_04Okay, yeah, then I've never seen The Exorcist at all.
SPEAKER_06I absolutely love that. Well, uh, good thing that you don't have to watch it, I suppose. I mean, you really missed out on that whole episode.
SPEAKER_04Uh, folks, I mean I've seen The Exorcism of Emily Rose, and I think that's enough.
SPEAKER_06We are coming back up on that movie actually very, very soon. Yeah. It's gonna be great. I'm so excited. All right, folks, we have cleared our warm-up round. The questions that were just about each other and the history of Hackerslash, and here is where we actually tap into you as a horror fan. And that is gonna start off with double jeopardy. Whoa. So, Mac, right now you're coming up in last place somehow with set negative 700. I'm so sorry, but I am confident you will come up in one answer at least, and you'll clear your good name, sir. Here's a look at our categories. We have crack open a cold open, and now this is going to have a clip from a cold open of a film, and you will have to identify the film that it's from.
SPEAKER_05Oh the next category.
SPEAKER_06Quote me on that. Now you're going to be presented with an iconic horror quote, and you're gonna have to guess the character in the movie. Location, location, location. You'll guess the movie that was made at the regular degular photo of the location that you're presented. Pipe Dreams and Pipelines is a crossover where you're gonna be presented with a clue about an actor, and you're going to have to tell us the movie that we reviewed in the name of the actor. You will be able to get points if you can only remember one of them. That's also fine. Uh Tony Todd, self-explanatory. This is a category all about Tony Todd. May he rest in peace, that good sir. Alright. As Binks is in the lead, you are gonna select first.
SPEAKER_08Okay, this is crazy. I'm gonna go with I'm terrified. Crack open a cold open for 100.
SPEAKER_06Crack open a cold open for 100. The brutal opening of this film shows the devastating cost of survival where even a moment of hesitation can be fatal. You mean to play that again?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, why not? There's the clip.
SPEAKER_06Any buzzers. For sure thought this would be very easy for you all.
SPEAKER_07That's crazy.
SPEAKER_11I don't even know if I've seen this.
SPEAKER_08I can't even tell whose face that is.
SPEAKER_04I know who's that's she has two different colored eyes.
SPEAKER_06All right, you're gonna have to wait for it.
SPEAKER_04It looks like Rosamond Pike, but I know it's not. Okay, um, buzz. Mac. Let's talk this out. We can get this, you guys.
SPEAKER_06Okay, uh, Mac, go ahead.
SPEAKER_11I said, what is barbarian?
SPEAKER_06Uh that is not correct as it turns out. Uh, but the correct answer is absolutely shocking you didn't get is 28 weeks later, guys. We just did that movie.
SPEAKER_12Oh man. I kind of man, I don't know. Actually, no, I didn't think it was it. I I immediately said it was something else.
SPEAKER_08That's okay. The two different color guys.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. All right. Binks.
SPEAKER_08Okay, well then, uh Tony Todd Hive for 100.
SPEAKER_06This sequel took the hook-handed legend to New Orleans, diving deeper into his tragic backstory and cementing his place as an urban horror icon. Paris.
SPEAKER_04Who is Candyman? Candyman, Candyman.
SPEAKER_06That is incorrect, due to specifics. Binks, next. Who is Candyman 2? Yep, that is correct. Candyman 2, Fairwell. Oh, I thought we just wanted his name. Sequel, Paris. You're gonna need the you're gonna need the movie in this sequel. All right. Binks, you pick again.
SPEAKER_08Okay, I'll go for pipe dreams and pipelines for 100.
SPEAKER_06Before she targeted a college student over Thanksgiving break, this actor dazzled audiences is Alice Cullen in Twilight. Binx.
SPEAKER_08Oh my god. Oh, who is Ashley Green?
SPEAKER_06That is correct. She starred as the antagonist in the film Christy. Binx, your pick.
SPEAKER_08You know, for five seconds I panicked and I almost forgot her name, and that would have been absolutely crazy considering my dog's name.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I saw the tear in your eyes.
SPEAKER_08It was a lot. Okay. I will do. Quote me on that for 100. Yes, I have a pattern, everyone.
SPEAKER_06I'm petrified. Bitch went down. Paris.
SPEAKER_04What is scream?
SPEAKER_06Mm-hmm. Can you also get the point? Uh the person who said it?
SPEAKER_04Rose McGowan. Famously.
SPEAKER_06Absolutely. You got it. Paris, you're okay.
SPEAKER_04Great. Okay, wait, I got one. Let's do uh we also gotta clear the buzzers. Let's do location, location, location for 100.
SPEAKER_06It's not the pea soup or the spitting head. It's this stairway that delivered one of the most painful looking deaths in horror history. Sometimes the clues are in the words. Paris.
SPEAKER_04I'm like, the exorcist again?
SPEAKER_06That is correct. Girl. Okay, great.
SPEAKER_11Oh, it is. Oh, I thought it was too easy. I was like, that can't be the answer.
SPEAKER_06No, Max. Right. These are intentionally easy for you to be able to get points.
SPEAKER_12For someone who hasn't seen the movie.
SPEAKER_08We feel like we're gaslighting ourselves. That's crazy. Nope.
SPEAKER_04I can get a context clue. Okay. Can we crack open a cold open for 200, please?
SPEAKER_06We sure can, Paris. In the opening of this film, the kills come fast and brutally as a group of campers unknowingly trespass while searching for weed. Binks.
SPEAKER_08What is Friday the 13th? The remake 2006, maybe I think, or something like that.
SPEAKER_06That is correct. You got it. It was 2009, but Friday the 13th was enough for me.
SPEAKER_08If you flip you know, yeah, thank you. That's good. That's good. Your pick. Oh god, I forgot. Okay. Um location, location, location for 200.
SPEAKER_06Pack your bags in your typewriter. Horror fans still visit this Oregon landmark that stood in for an iconic film in this or an iconic hotel in this film. Binks.
SPEAKER_08What is the shining? And I've actually been there. Fun fact for everyone.
SPEAKER_06Oh, incredible. We love that.
SPEAKER_08Well done.
SPEAKER_06It's quite nice. Your pick.
SPEAKER_08Okay. I will do Pipe Dreams and Pipelines for 200.
SPEAKER_06Best known for hunting teens in a slasher franchise. He once played a kindly paper delivery manager named Crazy Man Cooper in the 1996 Disney TV movie The Paper Brigade.
SPEAKER_08Listen, I don't know it, but that movie was a bop. And I'm the name is escaping me.
SPEAKER_06I'm shocked. But I do remember that movie.
SPEAKER_11Who is Kane Hodder?
SPEAKER_06That is incorrect.
SPEAKER_11Close, I'm sure, right? Close?
SPEAKER_06Actually, kind of, yeah, in a weird way. Kind of in a weird way, yes, you are close.
SPEAKER_11I'll take it. That makes me feel better. I'm a negative a thousand.
SPEAKER_04Sean. I know the movie, but I don't remember the actor's name. Who is Robert Ing?
SPEAKER_06Sean is correct. Damn it. Sean is correct. That's right. Oh my god. Well done. Absolutely. Sean, you pick.
SPEAKER_12Paperboy energy. That's crazy. Let's do. Man, let's do quote me on that. 200.
SPEAKER_06What are you waiting for?
SPEAKER_04Paris. What is I know what you did last summer, and it was Jennifer Love Hewitt. That is correct.
SPEAKER_12Nice.
SPEAKER_04Paris, your pick. Okay, actually, I love this category. Let's do 300. Quote me on that, please.
SPEAKER_06I will not accept a life. I do not deserve Paris.
SPEAKER_03Who is Pearl?
SPEAKER_04Mia girl. Oh shit. You got it. This is fun. Okay, 400. Quote me on that.
SPEAKER_06Okay. We belong dead. John.
SPEAKER_12Uh who is Dracula?
SPEAKER_06That is incorrect.
SPEAKER_12Oh my god. Paris.
SPEAKER_03We want the movie, right?
SPEAKER_06We want the movie and or the character.
SPEAKER_04Okay, what is Pet Cemetery?
SPEAKER_06That is incorrect. Shit.
SPEAKER_12Oh my god. No. Oh yeah. I'm an idiot.
SPEAKER_06You're not an idiot. Alright. The correct answer, Mac.
SPEAKER_11What is Brad Frankenstein?
SPEAKER_06That is correct. Absolutely. You got it. Sean not doing that is crazy.
SPEAKER_12I realized it like minute a minute afterwards.
SPEAKER_06It is the Frankenstein curse. It is the Frankenstein curse specifically for Sean. Mac, that was a correct answer for you. Let's have you pick.
SPEAKER_11Okay, let's take crack open a cold one for 300, please.
SPEAKER_06This film begins with a deeply chilling portrait of loss, silence, and suffocating grief.
SPEAKER_04What is Midsommar?
SPEAKER_06That is correct.
SPEAKER_04Fuck yeah. It's fun when you get it right.
SPEAKER_06All right, next.
SPEAKER_04Can I get quote me on that for 500?
SPEAKER_06You absolutely can. Did you just hang up? No, I just said click. Parents.
SPEAKER_04What is student bodies? Holy shit, yeah. Oh my god, me remembering the name of that movie will never happen again. Yeah, what what even was that? What is that?
SPEAKER_06Amazing. I thought of a scary movie. Yeah. I really thought that was gonna be a Mac pick. Amazing. Okay. Paris, take it away.
SPEAKER_04Okay. I think we can just end here now that I'm in the lead. This was so much fun, you guys. Thank you all for coming. We're not ending anything. If we can't do that, let's do crack me a cold open for 400.
SPEAKER_06This remake wastes no time. The world unravels overnight, and we're thrown headfirst into the chaos before the opening credits even roll. Pinks.
SPEAKER_08What is Anon the Apocalypse?
SPEAKER_06That is incorrect.
SPEAKER_08Damn.
SPEAKER_04Can you read the clue again, please?
SPEAKER_06This remake wastes no time. The world unravels overnight, and we're thrown headfirst into the chaos before the opening credits even roll, even roll. Alright. That's gonna be it. The correct answer was Dawn of the Dead from 2004. Alright, Paris, your pick.
SPEAKER_04Alright, let's crack open our last cold open for 500.
SPEAKER_06One of the most iconic cold opens in horror history features a babysitter, a ringing phone, and a voice that's far too close for comfort.
SPEAKER_03Paris. Oh my god. Hold on.
SPEAKER_04I know the quote. There's no quote. Wait. No, but I know the quote from this movie. Oh my god, I can't remember the name of it.
SPEAKER_06Okay, we have to move on to Mac.
SPEAKER_11Gosh, I was gonna say Black Christmas. What is Black Christmas?
SPEAKER_06That is incorrect.
SPEAKER_11Nice. Let's do it.
SPEAKER_06What is When a Stranger Calls?
SPEAKER_03That is correct. Well done. Good job, Banks.
SPEAKER_06Well done.
unknownThank you.
SPEAKER_06All right, Banks, your pick.
SPEAKER_08Okay, let's do Tony Todd High for 200.
SPEAKER_06In this 2011 entry of a Death Obsessed franchise, Tony Todd returns to remind us all you can't cheat Death.
SPEAKER_08Of course. Of course.
SPEAKER_04What is Final Destination three?
SPEAKER_06Incorrect.
SPEAKER_04Sean.
SPEAKER_06Oh, 2011.
SPEAKER_12I think it goes to Binx, no?
SPEAKER_08Binx. Oh my god, wait, no. Okay. Um what is Final Destination for?
SPEAKER_06Incorrect. Sean. What?
SPEAKER_12Uh two thousand and eleven. Uh shit. What is Final Destin? I don't know. 2011? What is Final Destination Two?
SPEAKER_06Incorrect. It is Final Destination Five.
SPEAKER_12Oh, I was gonna say five, but then I was like 2011, and we just got to six.
SPEAKER_04It feels more recent than that. Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Alright. Who we got next?
SPEAKER_08Bing S. I'm so shocked. I'm so appalled. Um, okay, let's do location, location, location for 300.
SPEAKER_06Known as the Grand Central Cafe since 2012, this particular Victorian house in Kingsland was actually the movie set for a 1970s slasher.
SPEAKER_12This is gonna be wrong. What is last house on the left?
SPEAKER_06That is incorrect, but I see the vibe. Damn it. Can you read the description again? Known as the Grand Central Cafe since 2012. This particular Victorian house in Kingsland was actually the movie set for a 1970s slasher fix. John. Nope, you already did that. I'm just reacting to the buzz Binks.
SPEAKER_08YOLO, what is sleepboy camp?
SPEAKER_06That is incorrect. The correct answer was Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
SPEAKER_03Really? Terrible.
SPEAKER_06Really?
SPEAKER_02Wow. What? Terrible.
SPEAKER_06Mm-hmm. If you look at the case, that looks too pretty for that. Leatherface ripped that girl into the front door. Banks, your pick.
unknownDamn.
SPEAKER_08Okay. I need to stop getting these wrong. Um let's do. Yeah, for real. Okay, let's do Pipe Dreams and Pipelines for 300.
SPEAKER_06Long before getting tangled in Jason Voorhees 2009 Rampage, she was navigating a Nickelodeon conspiracy with Brenda Song in Stuck in the Suburbs.
SPEAKER_12What the fuck?
SPEAKER_06Not me pulling these questions directly from our most recent episodes. Fuck.
SPEAKER_08Oh my god. Oh, I know her last name. Um what is Panabaker? Who is Danielle Panabaker? That is correct. Danielle Panabaker.
SPEAKER_06Well done. Next up.
SPEAKER_08Give me a second.
SPEAKER_06You'll breathe on it. You'll breathe on the uh next break.
SPEAKER_08Okay. All right. What is sorry, not what is. I'm already answering before I even ask. Can I get location, location, location for 400?
SPEAKER_06I'm on a roll, y'all. This abandoned bridge in New York became the heartbreaking backdrop for the first fatal mistake in a film where making noise means death. Thanks.
SPEAKER_08What is a quiet place?
SPEAKER_06That is correct.
SPEAKER_08Okay, I'm holding my breath at this point. What okay, y'all need to give Tony Todd some more love. I can't be the only one going off of this category. Okay? I'm just saying. What is or sorry, I keep saying what is. Alright, Tony Todd for 300.
SPEAKER_06In this color remake of a Romero classic, Todd plays Ben, a calm and capable survivor who ends up with a very different fate than his 1968 counterpart. Let's go with Sean.
SPEAKER_12What is Knight of the Living Dead?
SPEAKER_06Absolutely. You are back on the board. Your pick.
SPEAKER_12Shit, let's just go for location, location, location 500.
SPEAKER_06This real bar in Wilmington, North Carolina, played host to an open mic night and a few familiar survivors in this 2021 slasher sequel. Paris. Minus my five for you. Sean. Wait.
SPEAKER_12Oh what uh what is Halloween kills?
SPEAKER_05That is correct. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_06Well done.
SPEAKER_10Job.
SPEAKER_06Alright, we're really catching up. All right, Sean, your pick.
SPEAKER_04And Kyle Richards was there. I should have known.
SPEAKER_06He was. Kyle Richards was there.
SPEAKER_12Let's do Tony Todd for 400.
SPEAKER_06He plays the delightfully named Reverend Zombie in this ultra gory swamp slasher that's practically a love letter to practical effects.
SPEAKER_11Oh man. Now I feel bad.
SPEAKER_04Is this one where it's like Mardi Gras?
SPEAKER_06It's noise.
SPEAKER_04And there's like an airboat.
SPEAKER_11Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Remember? No? I feel like it's a little bit more than a little bit.
SPEAKER_04And he's only in it for like a little bit. They like knock on his door and he's like, get the fuck out of here.
SPEAKER_12Wait.
SPEAKER_03They were like doing a gator tour. Binks.
SPEAKER_08What is Hatchet?
SPEAKER_06That is correct. Oh my god, yes.
SPEAKER_04That was really good. Good job.
SPEAKER_06That was a lot. That was a lot.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that like straight to VHS deep cut, but Tony Todd.
SPEAKER_06Okay. Let's go. Binx, you got the last correct answer?
SPEAKER_08Oh my god. Okay. Let's do Pipe Dreams and Pipelines for 400.
SPEAKER_06She starred in Along Came Polly, but horror fans remember her as the unlucky girl being hunted by a gold-hungry monster in her film debut. Paris.
SPEAKER_04Who is Jennifer Aniston?
SPEAKER_06That is correct. Alright. We have two categories remaining. Paris.
SPEAKER_04Let's close out Tony Todd High for 500, please.
SPEAKER_06Nope. There we go. In this 2018 theme Park Slasher, Todd makes a chilling cameo as a horror attraction host, blurring the line between performance and menace. Sean.
SPEAKER_12Oh my god, I hope I say the right one because we watched two that were kind of similar. What is Hellfest?
SPEAKER_06That is correct. Nice.
SPEAKER_12Okay, thank the fucking Lord. Jesus Christ.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, not to be confused with Bloodfest, which he was not in.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_06You're gonna close it out here with Pipe Dreams and Pipelines. While No Stranger to Horror, one of this actor's best known roles was a wedding crasher. Mac.
SPEAKER_11Who is Vince Fawn?
SPEAKER_06Absolutely. Mac, you have an opportunity. Since there was no double trouble, you have an opportunity to guess the other correct answer for this question.
SPEAKER_11Oh my gosh, there's two there's two answers.
SPEAKER_06There are two viable answers.
SPEAKER_08What it can't be. Please.
SPEAKER_04Mac, you know what it is. Say it.
SPEAKER_08You know it. You actually know it.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_12Is it the girl who is Alan Wilson?
SPEAKER_05That is correct. Yes, absolutely. Yes.
SPEAKER_06The haunting. All right. Um the remake of the haunting. So Mac actually, we're gonna give double points. That's a thousand to him for Pipe Dunes and Pipelines. Hey, Mac. Incredible. Stolen. All right. We love it. Great.
SPEAKER_02And there's a chance.
SPEAKER_06Well, let's think there's a chance. Hey, the reality here is this next category, this next round of Jeopardy, actually has even higher points. So you're gonna be great, Mac. Don't worry. Folks, we are gonna step away for just a brief break. However, when we return, we want to answer some questions. So if you have any questions for us in the chat, type Q colon and then we'll search them up. We'll get them put on the stream. Obviously, this is our 400th episode, so anything you've been dying to know, we would like to tell. We'll be right back.

SPEAKER_06Hi, everybody. Welcome back. Good to have you. How are you feeling? All right. Sh Mac almost out of the negative. Fantastic.
SPEAKER_02That's right.
SPEAKER_06I'm setting a big stage here for a comeback. A come Mac, if you will.
SPEAKER_12We love a good comeback story, you know? Yeah.
SPEAKER_08My anxiety is what is getting me through. That's like really what's what's getting me to the finish album.
SPEAKER_04Is hustling all of us. She's been playing her. She's like, I'm so anxious. I'm really worried. I'm gonna embarrass myself. She's dog walking all of us. It's been a rude.
SPEAKER_08Literally, like double fisting coffee and water. This is not Dasani. This is not a sponsored.
SPEAKER_04She's on amphetamine, performance enhancers, disqualify her.
SPEAKER_06Oh, wow. We love to see it. For our folks in the chat, hi. So happy that you're all here. We got a few things. Uh just highlighting this. Uh, wasn't Owen Wilson also in Anaconda, or am I making that up? I don't recall, actually. He might have. If he was, that's great.
SPEAKER_12He might have been.
SPEAKER_06To be frank says Vince Vaughn has had a wild range with his career, and that is that's actually correct. The one of the when we thought about that category, one of the other stipulations was again name the actor and the horror movie that we reviewed. And we've done a couple of Ince Vaughn. We've done Psycho, we've also done Freaky.
SPEAKER_11Have we done the cell yet?
SPEAKER_06We have not done the cell. Oh I've been wanting to watch the cell. Yeah. Yeah. It's an old one. I do have a question for a few of you folks. Now, since this is our 400th episode, there are some things that have been on my mind. And I'm just thinking about back to some of this reflection. Mac, you've been on the show now the longest. How does it feel? You've been here for generations of hosts.
SPEAKER_11Generations. It feels weird because you know, when you think back to like the fun moments of the show, there's fun moments with all sorts of different hosts, and that that's kind of great, you know, to see how things have grown and changed.
SPEAKER_06Mm-hmm. I love that. What's moment, what's a moment on the show that still stands out to you after all these years?
SPEAKER_11I think a more recent one, in my memory at least, um, that's us sitting together in effectively a movie theater, but it was actually just a room that had been converted into like a little entertainment room, movie theater situation themed for potentially Marvel, I think maybe Avengers, and watching watching a movie. I think that was awesome sitting together in an Airbnb, at least at least four of us, and uh and watching a horror movie on a big screen, up close and personal. That was so much fun.
SPEAKER_06Oh wow, I do remember that. And I do remember that I didn't get to partake. I was picking someone up. I don't remember what uh maybe it was PJ? No? There was something that I had a lot going on. Yeah, I was doing a lot that day, but I love that you all got to watch that together. That's fantastic. And Paris, our Scream Queen, returning guest star, you joined us in 2020 and brought the kind of opinions that have absolutely made people light up. What's it like popping back in for 400?
SPEAKER_04Well, you know, Chris, I am so happy to be back, and I'm so glad that this microphone remains open to me despite my numerous attempts to get us all canceled. Um, I'm really proud of that. And even though some things have changed over the years, you know, I've changed coasts, a lot about me has changed. What has never wavered is my love for horror and our community. Thank you.
SPEAKER_06I love that. Thank you so much for being here, Paris. Now, Sean, you joined in 2022 and you immediately changed the energy of our classic horror episodes. In fact, many of our classic entries did not begin until you arrived. It's almost like they were just waiting for you. You've got that love for black and white, deep cuts. Somehow skin emerc. I don't know about that, but what's something that has surprised you about being on the show?
SPEAKER_12That none of you liked skinner ink.
SPEAKER_06Oh, come on, that's really what it is.
SPEAKER_12I love skin and rink. Uh that's true. That's true. Paris is with me on this. I'm with you. Um, I mean, on a light-hearted note, maybe because I I guess I'm most surprised that I actually had a lot to say about horror movies and that people actually wanted to hear what I had to say about horror movies, but um on a real on like a real serious note, I didn't realize like the production time, like the energy and the production time and everything that goes into making this show happen every week. Uh as I've gotten into like editing and different things like that, it is a lot of time and energy and um devotion to make this as good as it can be. So uh, you know, you go into it, you're like, Yeah, I can talk about a horror movie. That sounds great. You don't really think about everything else that goes into getting it published every week until you until you're helping to do that work behind the scenes, and then you're just like, fuck, this is this is another full-time job almost. But in a good way, in a good way, from a time frame and workload standpoint, you know what I mean? But it's a passionate thing that makes it really easy to do, you know?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it's certainly a labor of love. I think about like the beginning of this show in 2017. And you know, I was just talking to Allie earlier and she was asking, Did you ever think back then that you would be here doing a live Jeopardy show 400 episodes later? And I was like, absolutely not. I don't even know if I could have thought about episode 10 when we first started. But Binks, you joined just a few weeks after Sean and Paranormal has never been the same between your love of ghosts and your very strong reactions to the universe. What's one moment that lives rent-free in your head from the show?
SPEAKER_08Well, aside from my extreme unhinged comment about the Puniverse that went a little more viral than I had hoped. I I want to say honestly, it's the it is the meetup that we had for episode 300. I think in general, just the idea that we were on a stage and we had people present that wanted to like get to know us, meet us in person, uh, you know, being all together was really, really nice. I think that ultimately like it was a really surreal moment. So I think also with that was all of the inside jokes that we had, and I think leading up to, and then afterwards, there's so much that we like say that is extremely unhinged, not even on B sides in between recordings and and all that that I wish we could capture and bottle because it's also like a lot of the inside jokes that a lot of our listeners still don't even know. I mean, Cornhub has escaped and Ron Farrell, but there's so many little moments like that that I think is really, really great. And it's only it heightens because of the meetup. I think we like got a lot closer as a group.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it really did bring all the people together. The meetup is certainly one of I think the the biggest moments of my time with the show. It's wild to just think about like how much has changed. I think about how much I have changed since the first episode of Hacker Slash. I was actually just listening back to one of the episodes of The Crypt. And folks, if you are one of our premium patrons, our first 62 episodes that have been lost to the internet, you can get that. We're actually re-releasing them one after another each week. Holy crap, I even feel like I sound different, but that's neither here nor there. We have some questions to uh from our listeners. First up, would you be interested in reviewing more foreign films like Godzilla? He was in the SmackDown, or I don't know how to pronounce that, The Iron Man. I I would Tetsuo, okay. That's what I thought it would be if I sounded it out, but uh love that. I I'm certainly open to it. I know that I think we all are open to it.
SPEAKER_12Yeah, yeah, more foreign horror.
SPEAKER_08If it's good, foreign horror, or if it's really bad.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, one of the extremes, right? No mids, no mids. We have a question here from Kitty. What horror movie do you feel matches your personalities the most? I stand by New York. On demon being Paris in a bottle.
SPEAKER_04You think? I feel like it doesn't capture my personality, though. Moreover, like my vibe. I would say the substance.
SPEAKER_05Mmm, okay.
SPEAKER_08I love that. Damn. This is such a great question. I don't know. A part of me wants to say, wait, what?
SPEAKER_11This is easy.
SPEAKER_08What is it? Wait, is it what is it?
SPEAKER_11I mean, for me, it's the sphere. It's just sphere. Yeah. And uh it sums up the, I feel like as a person. So sphere, final answer. But I feel like for you, there's a funny one we could pick with horrible music that that uh triggers you. But that would be.
SPEAKER_08No, no, I know what he was actually gonna say. You're very funny. You're funny, but no, not that one.
SPEAKER_06Oh, right. That one. The yeah, the tip toner on that one. Um Sean, how about you?
SPEAKER_12You know, it's uh that's an interesting question for sure. I feel like it is kind of like this toss-up between Frankenstein's monster and Dracula because I one end I feel like just misunderstood a lot of the times, or I don't fit in into a lot of like weird trends, you know what I mean? So at that point, I I feel like I relate like to that a little bit more. But then, you know, you've got Dracula too, where I just you know, I just really have this fascination with death and wanting to live forever.
SPEAKER_06So I don't know. I love that. I love that. I think I'd go, I don't know. I I I feel very basic with this, but I I think I would go Halloween. Yeah, no. I'll just I'm gonna cook back on that one because I feel like there's probably something more modern and more like actually reflective of who I am as a person. I don't know, we'll see. But there's one another one here. What are the horror movies that make you the most emotional? Unrelated, not a horror movie, but I did just cry yesterday watching Lilo and Stitch, the live action movie. I cried almost the whole thing. Yeah, yeah, I heard that really good. Yeah, it was it was pretty good.
SPEAKER_08I it's funny that we were talking about foreign uh horror because there's two that make me cry a lot. One that's it's foreign because of the director, but possession. I know Chris, you hate it, but possession for sure is a big one. And the skin I live in, I don't think we've reviewed it yet, but that's Pedro Almobar. Uh, and it is very intense. So I I definitely lost it watching that one too. Very good.
SPEAKER_06Hmm, I love that. I think I'd go train to Busan. I I keep watching that movie and I never not cry.
SPEAKER_12That's a good one. I feel like uh just we just talked about this, but bring her back because that just hit me in so many different ways from like my past childhood to what just happened in my life with my dad passing away. I feel like that movie just fucking sucker punched you, and then as soon as you like caught your breath, it sucker punched you again and you lost your breath. Like that one was hard.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Oh shit. Okay, actually, let's step back here. Let's go back to 2023 when Binks and I were just like buried in grief and we had the whole family trauma year. All of those movies make me the most emotional. Fuck that.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, that was a lot. That was a lot. Taking of Deborah Logan was a little too much, actually.
SPEAKER_12I remember that episode. That was tough.
SPEAKER_06Now, obviously, Sean just alluded to bring her back. That episode will be releasing, I think, next week for you all. So if you didn't know that we recorded it, brace yourselves. Yeah, you do. All right, folks. Now we are getting into our last big round before we get into Final Jeopardy. This one's gonna be triple Jeopardy. You've all earned your place in the third act. Let's see our categories for the night. We have Final Girl's Final Words. You gotta choose the correct final girl who said this quote. Not the movie, the girl. Then we have the rotten truth. Guess the movie based on the clue in the rotten tomato percentage. Name that psycho. You're gonna guess the actor who portrayed this character who said that. You're gonna pick actually which podcast host made this out of context quote. And then brought to you by you have to guess the episode based on the fake sponsor. So Sean and Max got this one in the bag. It's gonna be great. All right, as I'm fair. I know, I know. Uh Binks, you started our last round and you're still in the lead, but we're gonna go to Sean, who made the great comeback for the last round. Sean, let's have you pick first.
SPEAKER_12Uh let's do, you know, it's 400 episodes. 400 seems like a good number. We're gonna do Final Girls Final Words for 400.
SPEAKER_06Okay, final girls, final words, grapefruit.
SPEAKER_12I know it, but I don't know the character's name.
SPEAKER_06You can describe the character. And you remember yet, you all have to buzz. Sean.
SPEAKER_12Uh, it's the sister from Bring Her Back.
SPEAKER_06It sure is the sister from Bring Her Back. Little old Piper. Well done.
SPEAKER_12Piper.
SPEAKER_06Mm-hmm. Next, Sean.
SPEAKER_12Uh, let's do uh hmm. I'm curious to see what these look like. So let's do the rotten truth for 200.
SPEAKER_06This 2023 film shocked critics and audiences alike with its relentlessly bleak depiction of demonic infection and somehow walked away with a 96% fresh score. Sean.
SPEAKER_12Uh it's um what is when evil lurks?
SPEAKER_06That is correct. Well done. You pick again.
SPEAKER_12Uh let's do Rotten Truth for 400.
SPEAKER_06Despite its video game source material, this 2012 sequel scored only 8% on Rotten Tomatoes. Binx. What is Silent Hill Revelations? That is correct.
SPEAKER_08Diabolical that thing. Next. Crazy. Um, let's do let's do name that cycle for two hundred.
SPEAKER_06This Alabama native received a degree in early elementary education long before he deepened our fear of clowns.
SPEAKER_12Uh um uh shit. I'm blanking. Who is David Howard Thornton?
SPEAKER_06That is correct. David Howard Thornton. Sean, you pick again.
SPEAKER_12All right. Uh let's do who said that for 400.
SPEAKER_06There's an art to choking. Remember, this category is the podcast host, Binks.
SPEAKER_08That was, or who oh my gosh, I almost messed up. Chell. Don't do it. Who is Chris Rojas?
SPEAKER_06That is correct. You did 400 for that? Okay, 400. That is right. I did say there is an art to choking. I can't remember why I said it, but I did. Uh make sure.
SPEAKER_04And just stand by it.
SPEAKER_06I sure do. Choking is hard. You wouldn't.
SPEAKER_08Never mind. I wouldn't. No, uh no. Who knows? I'm not continuing that statement. Um, I'm going to say, however, let's do name that cycle for 400.
SPEAKER_06This former Broadway star accepted her role in a slasher film solely because she needed the money to buy a new car. Okay. Another ten seconds. All right. Okay, the correct answer was Betsy Palmer. She accepted the role as Pamela Voorhees because her car broke down. It was convenient and the exact amount of money she needed. Bing. Next pick.
SPEAKER_08That was crazy. Um I didn't know that. That was really cool, actually. Okay, uh, let's do let's do brought to you by for 200.
SPEAKER_06Big Richards decoy scarecrow with a ribbed corn cob for your pleasure. Fill the cavernous void in your heart and your body. Remember that you had to guess the episode. Paris.
SPEAKER_04What is Pearl?
SPEAKER_06That is correct.
SPEAKER_04Oh fuck yeah.
SPEAKER_06How could it not be, really?
SPEAKER_04How could it not be? Paris, you're next. Can I get Final Girl's Final Words for 200, please?
SPEAKER_06It was the boogeyman. Sean.
SPEAKER_12Uh I don't know why I blank on people's names so much. We're doing the person, right?
SPEAKER_06Yes, the the character, yeah.
SPEAKER_12Uh who is oh shit. This is kind of tricky. I want to say who is Lori Strode, but it could be Dr. Loomis. Okay.
SPEAKER_04It's final girl's final words. Dr. Loomis is you start second guessing yourself.
SPEAKER_12It's not good, this thing, you know? Sean, you're blood pressure. Um, let's do name that psycho for 600.
SPEAKER_06Before he donned a mask and black balloons to kidnap children, this actor landed his first role alongside River Phoenix in a 1985 sci-fi film. Binx. Yeah. Who is Ethan Hawk? That is correct.
SPEAKER_08Binx, you're next. Let's do Who Said That for 200?
SPEAKER_06We went from Hackerslash to Stroke and Poke. Paris.
SPEAKER_04Oh my god, somebody said this earlier. Um, stroke and poke was not said by Binks. It was said by Sean or was it said by Binks? Well, who is Binks?
SPEAKER_06That is incorrect. Binx, you're a guess.
SPEAKER_08Who is Sean?
SPEAKER_06That is correct. God damn it. What a shame, Sean. Okay.
SPEAKER_08You know.
SPEAKER_06Binx, your pick.
SPEAKER_08That's crazy that there was foreshadowing earlier on in this episode. That's wild.
SPEAKER_05Completely unclear.
SPEAKER_08And I still didn't remember.
SPEAKER_05I just didn't remember.
SPEAKER_08It's crazy. Okay. Let's do the rotten truth for 600.
SPEAKER_06This minimalist 1997 sci-fi horror film was rated fresh at 63%, but earned a universal hack on our show. Sean.
SPEAKER_12What is Cube?
SPEAKER_06Yep. You got it.
SPEAKER_12Yeah, fuck that movie. Sorry.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, that was um that was a Sean and Chris special. That was a good one.
SPEAKER_1263% too high.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Alright, Sean, your pick. Sean and Beach are really dominating this round, by the way.
SPEAKER_11Yes, the whole game.
SPEAKER_12Virgo.
SPEAKER_08Now we're like really ramped up.
SPEAKER_12Let's do Final Girls Final Words 600. Why is that hard to say? Final Girls Final Words 600.
SPEAKER_06In-laws.
SPEAKER_04You know? Yeah.
SPEAKER_11Okay.
SPEAKER_04Who is Samara Weaving in Ready or Not?
SPEAKER_06That is correct. Grace. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_12Good job. Wow.
SPEAKER_04Thank you so much. Paris, your pit. I think I've only gotten Final Girls Final Words, so let's do 800, please.
SPEAKER_06For me, it happened twice. The first was the day I met Josh, the second was the day I killed him. Paris.
SPEAKER_04Who is Iris from Companion?
SPEAKER_06That is correct.
SPEAKER_04Chris, you know, we gotta close it out.
SPEAKER_06Okay.
SPEAKER_12Close it out.
SPEAKER_06Let me F Play. Paris.
SPEAKER_04Who is the girl from Shawn of the Dead?
SPEAKER_03That is incorrect.
SPEAKER_08I'm sweating. I I don't know.
SPEAKER_06Okay. Well, here we are. The correct answer was Monstro Eliza Slough.
SPEAKER_05Oh Paris.
SPEAKER_04I don't know what the fuck she was saying.
SPEAKER_05I didn't know that she spoke. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I didn't even realize it's me. All right. Elizabeth. Paris. Next. Can I please get brought to you by for 400?
SPEAKER_06Spelunk in the trunk, an all-in-one thrill-seeking toolkit for cave diving and rock climbing, featuring a flashlight, flare gun, and thermal imaging system to detect nudist cave dwellers. Paris.
SPEAKER_04What is the descent episode? Oh man. That's correct. So good. So good. Let's do 600 brought to you by.
SPEAKER_08Okay. The plot with this is that all three of you have done the sponsor. So actually, that whole category is dominated by you three. Got it. Cool.
SPEAKER_06Mr. Melancholy's Midnight Ice Cream, available in flavors like Dreadful Delight and Vanilla Void. Perfect for late night stroll down empty streets, or when you can't shake the feeling you're being watched by more than just your TV. Paris.
SPEAKER_04What is I Saw the TV Glow the episode?
SPEAKER_06That's correct. And you're next.
SPEAKER_04Okay. And was that the 800 that we just said?
SPEAKER_06That was 600.
SPEAKER_04Or did we just do six? Let's do eight.
SPEAKER_06Double trouble. How much more to wager?
SPEAKER_04I'm gonna wager 1100.
SPEAKER_06Okay. Chell, you're gonna keep track. Paris is wagering for waging 1100 points. Fang Finder, a gay vampire dating app where swiping right will allow you to suck some D. Delicious next.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god, I feel like I should know this.
SPEAKER_04I feel like I made this. Fang Finder. When was there gay vampires? When did we ever get gay vampires? I'm thinking of Colin Farrell as a vampire in that one movie on the house.
SPEAKER_12I know. I remember this monster, but not the movie.
SPEAKER_04Fang Finder. A gay vampire dating hours. Shit! Where were when did we get gay vampires? Have we gotten gay vampires? Oh my god. This is pissing me off.
SPEAKER_12Oh, it's been excluded.
SPEAKER_06I still feel like the next bit is gonna be seeing if Mac can steal this. This is the clue. This is all the clue there is, and you're running out of time to answer.
SPEAKER_04Can you tell me the name of the movie that has Colin Farrell in it as a vampire and he lives next door? Fright Night. What is Fright Night?
SPEAKER_06No, that is incorrect. You have lost 1100. Mac, do you want to steal?
SPEAKER_11Um I do not want to steal.
SPEAKER_06Okay.
SPEAKER_11As it turns out, because we've done so many of these vampire sponsors, you know, my memory is not the best. And I know that I recorded this.
SPEAKER_06And you know that you were the star of this.
SPEAKER_12It's definitely a Mac sponsor. I remember that.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, because the way that he says Delicious Next is just honestly too good. The correct answer was Dracula 1931.
SPEAKER_12Yeah. I wasn't sure if we did that for Dracula or like Renfield or something.
SPEAKER_06It was Dracula because of how super I guess it was the moment, yeah, the intimate moment between yeah. Alright. Okay, Paris. Sorry you lost all those. You're next.
SPEAKER_04I'm gonna do brought to you by one for one thousand a redemption.
SPEAKER_06I want to point out that Matt can still sweep if he gets the thousand points.
SPEAKER_11The chances are low.
SPEAKER_06Brain bites. Spice up your afterlife with snack sized brains laced with memories that may get your cold heart beating again.
SPEAKER_12Oh, what movie was that?
SPEAKER_08Binx.
SPEAKER_03They're all a blur.
SPEAKER_08What is warm bodies? That is correct.
SPEAKER_04Holy that would have been my guess too, but I don't remember that.
SPEAKER_12That makes total sense. I remember that.
SPEAKER_08Alright, yeah. The spirit of Nicholas Holt really was here tonight.
SPEAKER_12Channeled Nicholas Holt.
SPEAKER_06From Renfield to warm bodies.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, whoa. Okay. Uh let's do Who Said That for 600.
SPEAKER_06Hold on a second.
SPEAKER_12You said that.
SPEAKER_06One second. Hold on a second. I gotta get back to the red spot. Triple Jeopardy.
SPEAKER_11Right now. Next level.
SPEAKER_06Hold on a second.
SPEAKER_11Hold on. If it doesn't work, I get the points. That's how this works.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, that's that's how it's gonna end up being. Um I was gonna say, I'm gonna go down to the manual slide here.
SPEAKER_04I want to circle back to answer the question from earlier. The horror movie that makes me the most emotional is Presents from this year. If you haven't seen it, go in blind. I literally let out a wail at the end of this movie in the theater. I was sobbing, and I had to run to the bathroom immediately after.
SPEAKER_06Okay, Binks, you did 600. Who said that?
SPEAKER_08Yeah.
SPEAKER_06I do want to keep the training going. Annihilate me. Binks.
SPEAKER_08I who is me?
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, it was you.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_08I'm the worst, actually. Sometimes go ahead. Crazy. I can't believe I said that. And I can't believe I knew that I said that. Okay, let's do the rotten truth for 800.
SPEAKER_06Only 16% of critics went to bat for this 1993 entry where the FBI blows up an iconic slasher. Mac.
SPEAKER_11Is it um what is Jason X?
SPEAKER_06That is incorrect. That's very close.
SPEAKER_11I was all my points.
SPEAKER_06All right. Moving on. The correct answer was what is Jason Goes to Hell the final Friday. Or the final Friday, Jason goes to hell.
SPEAKER_11They're also poorly named, you know.
SPEAKER_06That is true. That is true. More like Jason X it's his own fucking body and becomes a spirit. That would have been more appropriate. Binx, your pick.
SPEAKER_08Okay, let's do name that psycho for 800.
SPEAKER_06With sharp features and piercing eyes, she portrayed a demonic nun so well her face became a horror meme, and she sued for not being credited on merchandise.
unknownShit.
SPEAKER_12What's her name? Don't Google it.
SPEAKER_06Don't Google.
SPEAKER_05Oh my god.
SPEAKER_10I can Google I can get it.
SPEAKER_04Sorry to this woman. She's an icon, and we we should all know her name. We should do back.
SPEAKER_06That is correct. Bonnie Aarons. Yeah.
SPEAKER_08I love Valik, but geez. Also, that's kind of crazy.
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_08Justice for her.
SPEAKER_11Okay. Um, goodness, let's go. Who said that for one thousand?
SPEAKER_06You can wash it and stick it in your mouth.
SPEAKER_11This is a lot.
SPEAKER_12Uh I really don't even know who would say that one. That's a that's a stray, I feel like. Who knows where that came from? Who knows where that came from?
SPEAKER_06You gotta dig deep in the memory. Paris.
SPEAKER_04I'm gonna go out on a limb and say maybe I said that.
SPEAKER_06You did not say that.
SPEAKER_04Who am I? You did not say that. Damn. Oh, that was all my points. Hateful.
SPEAKER_05That was all your points.
SPEAKER_04Let's make fun of the girl who took a risk. Alright.
SPEAKER_11Um, well, wait, I gotta hit the button, right?
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_11Yeah. Hit the button.
SPEAKER_06Sorry.
SPEAKER_11The window was in the wrong place. Who was me?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it was you. It was you. I don't know why.
SPEAKER_12What context was that?
SPEAKER_06I'm pretty sure it might have been the fresh episode. I think it was about the grapes. No, the grapes? We were talking about white.
SPEAKER_08Oh, when we were talking about the grocery store. Yes. I think that was it.
SPEAKER_11Friction, rather. Water and friction. Get it. You know what I mean? Water and friction.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, go ahead. Max, you got the correct answer, so let's get those. Uh let's get those.
SPEAKER_11Let's go for the rotten truth for 1000.
SPEAKER_06Don't let its 70% fresh score fool you. This film was the first ever universal hack on our show.
SPEAKER_12Oh shit.
SPEAKER_04I feel like I was there.
SPEAKER_12First is ever universal hack?
SPEAKER_06Okay.
SPEAKER_12That's an old though.
SPEAKER_06That's okay, Binks.
SPEAKER_08Oh no. I regret it already. Wait, what is paranormal activity?
SPEAKER_06That is incorrect.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_06Yes. Minus all those points for you. The correct answer. Not the yes.
SPEAKER_12What the I don't have no idea what this one is.
SPEAKER_06The correct answer was Annabelle Creation. That was minus a thousand points. Really? Universal hack? Annabelle Creation. I can't afford it. Yeah. Okay. Mac, you pick.
SPEAKER_11Let's go for name that psycho for 1000.
SPEAKER_06This actor did his own stunts as an iconic slasher across three films and used his pet cat as inspiration for embodying the posture and movement of pure evil.
SPEAKER_11Good night.
SPEAKER_06No, no. That is that is close, but no.
unknownDamn.
SPEAKER_06Right.
SPEAKER_11And this is a tough one. And I remember, like, I feel like we talked about this, but I have- You sure did.
SPEAKER_06Okay.
SPEAKER_04It sounds so familiar.
SPEAKER_06We're gonna keep it pushed, and then the correct answer was James Jude Courtney from Halloween 2018. And we're gonna go out to close out our round on who said that? Don't you dare pull out. I can't buzz. Did you buzz?
SPEAKER_12I did not buzz. That hasn't been cleared yet.
SPEAKER_06Okay. We've been uh we have disconnected, so it's gonna be first goes. Take her.
SPEAKER_04Was it me?
SPEAKER_06No, it was not you.
SPEAKER_04Don't you dare pull. Maybe Sean.
SPEAKER_12There's no way. There's no way I said that. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_05It is not Sean.
SPEAKER_08No. Please, no. No. No.
SPEAKER_06All right, all right. Okay. The correct image is Ryan.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_04What do you say, Ryan?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Listen, folks. Um, that closes out our triple Jeopardy round, which is honestly incredible. And we've had a shakeup. We've had Mac, Paris, Sean, and Binks all change their rankings on the board. Paris.
SPEAKER_12Look at that. Mac's at 900.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_12You're coming in, man.
SPEAKER_06Paris, I don't know how we're gonna do final jeopardy with your negative points, but we'll I think I've earned about 900 personality points by now.
SPEAKER_04We lost tally. That's honestly really true.
SPEAKER_11It's easy because you got a new positive for personality. If she gets it right and gets a thousand points, we're at 200 points. She gets it wrong, it's it's uh negative 1800 points.
SPEAKER_04And she's getting it wrong.
SPEAKER_11You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_06Oh boy, okay. Well, folks, we will be right back, as it turns out. We're gonna take a quick break and get ourselves organized, and we'll see you back here for Final Jeopardy in just a moment.
SPEAKER_00Did you leave the door open all day and get accused of consorting with the devil? Did your acne disappear overnight and your whole family shunned you? Does your hair look good even when you don't try? Don't get dragged to the town center on false accusations. B Sermon is here to defend you against witchcraft falsehoods. We would take those overly pious accusers to a court of law and win your case or your dick skins back guaranteed. We're here to stake our claim, see, and burn the competition. Fight the burn and call B Sermon.
SPEAKER_06Alright, welcome back, folks. A classic little ironic, honestly, that we ended with a Ryan uh no context quote, and then we did a Ryan sponsor for that. Uh that was that was fantastic. So, um, okay, here we are for Final Jeopardy. And I'm gonna let you know that our clue, excuse me, our category for Final Jeopardy is gonna be 90s film. 90s film. Now, to my dear contestants, we have a couple of things for you to do. 90s film. 90s film. Alright, I am going to give you, my dear contestants, a link to review. And this link is gonna be where you're going to submit your wagers. Alright, let's see here. Okay, Paris, you can build up to 2,000 points, even though you have negative a lot. So there's that. Amazing. To my co-hosts, my can my contestants. You have now a link in the chat to place your wagers. Please place your wagers now. Let me know how money you plan on betting. Uh, Binks. I hope you'll make it an interesting game by betting everything. But you know, don't let me tell you what's up.
SPEAKER_08Do it. Fine.
SPEAKER_06No, no, you definitely do not have to do that. Um, okay, we got a good bet from Mac, a wager from Paris. This is gonna be tough, also. So I definitely don't have to. Um, yeah, we were putting in the wager first. I sub I put a link in the chat for you to do so. Yep. I forgot how many I have. We're going with the game, but I'm just gonna go.
SPEAKER_12Wait, is this the final round?
SPEAKER_06This is the final round. Is this the final? This is Final Jeopardy, baby. And folks, if you have if you have any questions for us while we're getting ready. Anything that you want to know, any reflections?
SPEAKER_12And then what do we open this link again to submit our answer?
SPEAKER_06No, I'm gonna give you a separate link for the answer, but I have to send you the link after I read the clue because it has a question on it. Um, so we have wagers. Wait a second, why don't I have Sean? Did you not put your name?
SPEAKER_12Oh no, I didn't.
SPEAKER_06Okay, what did you wait after?
SPEAKER_12Okay. 1000.
SPEAKER_06Alright, cool. Here we go. All right, folks. All right. Here we are.
SPEAKER_12I don't follow rules very well.
SPEAKER_06That's okay. You're in points for trying. Okay, folks, we have 90s film as our final category. I'm gonna get ready to just give my contestants their link for their response. Now, the way this is gonna work, I'm gonna read the clue and I'm gonna give you a link to where you can submit your answer, and you're gonna just all submit your answers. Then we'll go one by one, reveal what your answer was, how much you wagered, and if you were correct. Sound good? Okay, yeah. If you have time, you're gonna figure this out. I hope you're prepared. I believe in you.
SPEAKER_02Here we are. Hopefully.
SPEAKER_06Here's your clue. The 1996 film Clueless starred three actors who appeared in horror movies that we've reviewed in the last year. Name all three actors and the movies we've reviewed. You now have a link to your answer sheet.
SPEAKER_11I feel like we need the sound for this one to make it more tense, yeah.
SPEAKER_05I know. I'm doo-doo. Copyright is such a bitch.
SPEAKER_06I'm gonna play our hacker slash theme song actually while we do this. Reminder that you're gonna need the movies as well.
SPEAKER_12Oh, I just did people.
SPEAKER_06Hope you can answer for the people or the n the movies. Oh, um I'm gonna give you one last one. I'm missing three responses. Submit your answers now.
SPEAKER_12Wait, what?
SPEAKER_06The remaining hosts who have not submitted a response.
SPEAKER_11I'm just a slow type of.
SPEAKER_07I didn't I didn't, yeah. But it is funny, the one that I couldn't think of the name in the movie though as well.
SPEAKER_06Alright. Okay, we have responses. I need to bring this up side by side, actually. Damn it. Let me go to individual responses. This is gonna be so interesting. Okay. Uh let's see. I'm gonna fucking try to not laugh hysterically reading these. Okay. We're gonna start with Paris. Paris, you wagered 2,000 points.
SPEAKER_04That's right.
SPEAKER_06Let's see if the credit score checked out. You answered Alicia Silverstone, Britney Murphy, and Paul Rudd. Now, here's the problem. Some of these are correct and some of these are incorrect. So we're gonna we're gonna reveal correct points in here in a bit. Brittany Moofy, Brittany Murphy, that movie in the tub right before she died for real. I don't know who you're referring to, Paris. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_04It's the last movie she ever made.
SPEAKER_06This was not that movie, I can assure you. Alicia Silverstone, the Lodge. While Alicia Silverstone was in the lodge, it was not the movie that we reviewed in the last year. But I know partial points for counting. Okay. Paul Rudd, Friday the 13th, one of them maybe in the 80s. I can assure you, Paul Rudd was in no Friday the 13th film. So you get partial points. I'm gonna leave that up to Chell to determine how many points you get. Let's move on to Mac. Mac wagered 800 points. Who is Brittany Murphy, Cherry Falls? That is correct. Paul Rudd, Halloween, The Curse of Michael Myers. That is correct. And Alicia Silverstone, also the Lodge. Again, mostly correct here, so this feels like a full point because you at least got the other ones. But let's see if someone else gets the that gets the Alicia Silverstone movie. Next up we have Sean who wagered a thousand points.
SPEAKER_12But didn't say any movies.
SPEAKER_06Alicia Silverstone, Brittany Murphy, and Paul Rudd. Okay, um, okay, let me see real quick if Binks has it, and then I'm gonna give you an opportunity here. Okay, Britney Murphy, Cherry Falls, Alicia Silverstone, Stacy Dash. Uh no, Binks, Stacy Dash is is not. I know I was I know I was thinking of the three main girls.
SPEAKER_08I completely forgot about Paul Rudd. Yeah, which is hilarious. Correct. But I did get the movie for Alicia Silverstone because it is Drama Please Y2K.
SPEAKER_06It is Y2K. I was gonna give Sean an opportunity to answer, but the correct answer would have been Alicia Silverstone Y2K. No, I won't watch. Okay, so I think I think Sean earns half points. Half of his weight.
SPEAKER_12To be fair, yeah, I I would not have gotten the Alicia Silverstone movie. I did not put Y2K in there. That wasn't what I was thinking.
SPEAKER_06What were you thinking?
SPEAKER_12I was I was for some reason. Yeah, I think I was thinking The Lodge, but then I realized I don't think we did that movie, so I didn't I was just trying to think. Yeah, I don't know. Yeah, I was just trying to try to piece the actor to a movie.
SPEAKER_06A yeah, it's totally fair. The Lodge was definitely one of her great ones, is one that she did recently.
SPEAKER_12I forgot she was in Y2K completely.
SPEAKER_06She was the mom in Y2K.
SPEAKER_12Yeah, so true.
SPEAKER_08Wow Tim Heidecker from Tim and Eric.
SPEAKER_06Mm-hmm. She was also in the Requin, which Paris and I just discussed in our Sharks Floor Tasion Boyness episode.
SPEAKER_12Yep. She's in Killing of a Sacred Deer. I don't know if that counts as a horror movie, but you know. It should it should.
SPEAKER_06Now the real question is, well, A, also I'm sad none of you called him Paul Steven Rudd. Uh, but the real question is, our scoring is our scoring final? Chell, is our is our scoring all good? Seems like it. We got a thumbs up. Okay. Here we are, folks. In last place, we have Paris, 200 points. Great job, trying.
SPEAKER_12Also took the most. I was just happy to be here. Oh, Mac took a lot of risks, too.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, a lot of risks, a lot of personality. We loved it. Mac, 1,600 points. Incredible comeback. What a comeback. Honestly.
SPEAKER_12What a comeback.
SPEAKER_06Fantastic. You really.
unknownYeah. That's true.
SPEAKER_06Sean, second place, 1,925 points. And Binks in first place with 3,000 points. Incredible. The sleeper.
SPEAKER_08How it feels like pure adrenaline, blood pressure high, anxiety through the roof, and it will pursue well persevere and push me through the to the end. Um my trivia.
SPEAKER_12Is it like a Virgo thing to just feel like you're dying inside while you're trying to do something that you know you should be able to do? You know what it means? Yes. Then you overanalyze the entire fucking situation.
SPEAKER_08That's what happens. Then second guess, and then you're like, oh my god, and then you hate yourself and you get it wrong. Yep.
SPEAKER_12And you just go with your gut, you're usually good.
SPEAKER_06Hmm. So what I'm hearing is we should have more confidence.
SPEAKER_12Something like that. Or just listen to your first like initial reaction, you know?
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Also, okay, I just want to point out praise be to Busta in the chat. Y'all are so lucky I didn't do a Halloween resurrection question. Y'all are so lucky that we have not gotten to that yet. That should have been in the hackerslash chronicles section. Now we do have a chance.
SPEAKER_08I was gonna say I'm very proud of you for not putting a lot of Halloween in here as well, because I also was trying to psychoanalyze this whole Jeopardy and think that a majority of it's gonna be about Michael Myers. So very proud of you.
SPEAKER_11I was really waiting for a Nana Visitor question who plays Pamela Voice in the reboot. Nana Visitor, the actress who plays Pamela Voice. I was really hoping we were gonna get just because she's in she's in space nine, so I was hoping for that.
SPEAKER_06Actually, no Sean, Mac. Mac, you need to know that I really wanted to make some Star Trek questions in here, but my god, I could not download those transcripts fast enough to Command F Star Trek and find all the Easter eggs. I am so sorry. Next Jeopardy, that's all you. Uh, we do have a couple questions in the chat. Uh, let's go with what movie is your personal hackiest hack?
SPEAKER_04Oh my god.
SPEAKER_06Bunny Man.
SPEAKER_04That's tough. What's the one that's like in the Library of Congress that shouldn't be there? Alien The Room? Okay. Alien, no, it's not that bad. I think you said that about the movie Alien, though.
SPEAKER_11You did.
SPEAKER_04No, I remember dragging it for that, but is that the hackiest hack? I doubt it. So Gordon Weaver's in it. It's not dog shit. And we've reviewed some real dog shit.
SPEAKER_06We really have. Hacky is hot.
SPEAKER_12I mean tough call because I feel like for me, it's gotta be the mean one for me. Like, it was a pretty bad movie. There wasn't too there wasn't really anything good about it. Like, there wasn't anything you know that could be done to save that movie. I feel like that was doomed to fail.
SPEAKER_06I do agree. Now, listen, talk about going from zero to hero. Screamboat was fucking great. I loved it.
SPEAKER_12True. A lot of these, a lot. Well, I sweet. Did we we I think we switched the terminology of this universe, but um uh a lot of these movies, these childhood nightmare movies are actually um interesting, man. They're a little bit, I mean, I'm not say they're great by any means, but they definitely are entertaining to say the least.
SPEAKER_06Oh, 100%.
SPEAKER_08Love that. Yeah, I'd agree. The the mean one for sure is uh a real tough one to beat in terms of the hackiest hack. I gotta say, if I thought of another one right off the bat, it's hard to pick which Friday the 13th. Um but definitely a majority of them are probably all tied for the bare bottom. Yeah. For sure. How about you? Isn't there one where you're like, oh no, I was thinking of um is it Jason Goes to Hell? Yeah, I think that one's like probably the worst for me.
SPEAKER_11Okay. I don't know if I could pick like hackiest hack because it feels bad choosing terrifier simply because I truly hated it, but at the same time I I truly hated it. So like, how can I not how can I not just pick that? It's an easy one for me because I've talked about how much I hated it.
SPEAKER_06I guess it's at least a hacksaw movie. Thanks.
SPEAKER_11Ah, there you go.
SPEAKER_08I thought I thought of another one. How could I not say Lover's Lane when I fully hated that movie so much that I needed to speed through it?
SPEAKER_12The two-time playback speed.
SPEAKER_08Absolutely I couldn't take it anymore.
SPEAKER_06All right, we have one more question here. We're gonna end out in this.
SPEAKER_04Wait, I have an answer.
SPEAKER_06Go ahead.
SPEAKER_04Uh I'm gonna give it to Basket Case with an honorable mention of being misery.
SPEAKER_06Misery. Wow. Okay.
SPEAKER_04Misery.
SPEAKER_06I forgot that you hated that movie. That's actually one of uh Paris and I's earliest disagreements. When she came from Misery. That's kind of wrong. No, then was um High Tension.
SPEAKER_08I just watched High Tension for the first time. Hate it.
SPEAKER_04Thoughts banks. Chris, don't say anything.
SPEAKER_08That was okay. Well, first of all, I'm like French film like that, like that whole era of martyrs, chaos was a lot. I liked it though, but it wasn't like out of this world, but I liked it. I liked it. I was very thrown off by that twist. I will say that.
SPEAKER_06Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. A little gap.
SPEAKER_12I like the song by Green Day.
SPEAKER_03That's true. All right.
SPEAKER_06Our final question of the night was what horror movie do you wish got a sequel made?
SPEAKER_04Ooh. Oh, you know, you know what actually could do a good sequel is Oculus. Bring that mirror back. Bring those siblings back. Or a new family. Well, yeah, not those siblings, but a new family, I'm sure, can acquire this mirror.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, that's such a good pick.
unknownFuck.
SPEAKER_06I'm gonna go the original Black Christmas because that movie was gonna be made, and Bob Clark passed away in a car accident before he could get it made. And Olivia Hussey was gonna reprise her role.
SPEAKER_02Oh damn.
SPEAKER_12Womp womp.
SPEAKER_04That's Chris's one that got away for sure.
SPEAKER_12I kind of feel like we should get like it would be interesting to see if we can do like a new like a sequel to Jennifer's body, but somehow bring Megan Fox back. You know what I mean? That would be cool. I think we'd be here for that. Because I think she's still in her prime, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_08That's a great one, I think.
SPEAKER_04Completely agree.
SPEAKER_08I think I'm going to say. Oh, go go ahead, Mac.
SPEAKER_11I was saying not night swim. No sequels ever.
SPEAKER_04Never.
SPEAKER_11Drain that pool and call it a day.
SPEAKER_04Drain the swamp.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, yeah. No, definitely don't do that one. I was actually gonna say uh repo, the genetic opera, just a spike all of you. Oh my god. Oh, Jesus.
SPEAKER_06Well, what a way to take us out on that note, Biggs. Okay, let's wow. Well, folks, we have had such a blast hanging out with you all tonight. Thank you so much for being here.
