Announcing The 2026 Horror Games

Citizens of our community,

In observance of our shared devotion to terror, suspense, and cinematic bloodshed, this is your formal notice:

Monster Madness is returning with our second annual Horror Games.

Horror. Terrible horror. Demons and killers and monsters of all kinds. They are the ones who haunt our dreams and fill shadows with doubt and gut-clenching fear. Even in times of peace, Hack or Slash must remind the world that there are monsters among us...and that the world is full of horror.

And so it was decreed, that each year, from every corner of our districts, icons of fear will be selected to stand as tributes, each bearing the honor and legacy of their genre. And through their perils and bloodshed, it will remind us, and them, about who should be feared and who should remain fearful. And that’s exactly the way we like it.

It is from this ideal that the Horror Games were born. To force the monsters to face each other, and feel the fear that they have selfishly bestowed upon humanity for decades now, and decades to come. The Horror Games are not a celebration of peace. They are a reminder of why we fear.

For the entire month of March, there will be spectacle, triumph and tragedy, and oh yes…there WILL be blood. The eyes of our community will turn to the arena, where legends are not merely remembered. They are tested.

They will face one another not for mercy, but for dominance…and only one will endure. Sixty-four Tributes from four districts. No safe passage, no guaranteed survival. Reputation alone will not be enough to save them.

And we will call on you, our beloved and brave citizens, to celebrate another year of proving that humanity, even when faced with horrors unimaginable and paralyzing terrors, will always be the hero.

Allegiances will be declared…some wisely, some recklessly. From that moment forward, every vote is a weapon, and every round a reckoning. Prepare your loyalties, study the contenders, and choose your champions carefully.

The Reaping will be held live on February 22, 2026. Gather with us as the sixty-four tributes are chosen and the Horror Games officially begin.

In the coming days and weeks you will receive more information. You will learn about the games, and how we will call on all of you to represent your districts. Together we will ensure the madness sends a message to all of the monsters: we will not be afraid!
